As manager and Coach of Houston National F.C. from 1984, Dragos coached the Houston National teams in all available leagues and competitions in the Houston Metropolitan area and the state of Texas as well as playing overseas.
Dragos Manga came to the United States as a political refugee in 1980. He has devoted his life to the promotion of excellence in soccer; first as a professional club player in Romania and representing his country on the national team and then as a coach here in the U.S. He started the Houston National Football Club in 1984 with the help of parents: Mauro Priori, Peyton Dorsett, Malcolm Clark, and Wally Huerta who assisted and sponsored the club

Joel, great website you put together. This brings a lot of fond memories I had with Dragos and the team. We definitely were warriors on the field and gave it all on the field for Dragos – a bond we had like no other for sure.
